I admit it: I am a worrier… I learned it from my father, who learned it from his mother and so on and so forth. Worrying has become habitual; my default mode. I mostly worry about being late. I’m sure this has to do with the fact that my mother was always extremely tardy when picking me up from elementary school. I was the sad, pathetic one still waiting on the school steps because her mom was too busy remodeling the house to remember that it was her turn to carpool.

While some may complain that these alternatives are too expensive, my only comment is: “Have you considered the price of illness?” No matter how chemotherapy is administered it comes with an exorbitant price tag. How about heart surgery? Or blood pressure medicine? Or any prescription for that matter. Medical bills have been known to bankrupt many a family.

Certain health issues can also cause your back to hurt. Kidney stones, for example will cause excruciating pain in the lower portion of your back on one side or another. Problems with the kidneys themselves will cause pain. Injuries will often manifest themselves years after the actual incident. Accidents or trauma to the back can cause many problems, also. People who have been involved in car accidents often suffer from back pain for the rest of their lives. Back pain is more common than you think.
