Before You Start An Internet BusinessSeptember 18, 2019
In creating a business for women there are many opportunities for pursuing your dreams, finding your destiny, and experiencing success in life. Often the way is not clear and you may not know whom to trust. Sometimes there are financial roadblocks in the way. Other times you are your own worst enemy with negative self-talk and doubts. There is so much information out there that it can feel overwhelming and the task of starting your own business daunting. We have all given too much time in our heads to those self-defeating phrases of “I can’t.” When, if truth be told, we secretly know “We can!” The most important ingredient in this process is self-confidence. And the best way to encourage and bolster that is with camaraderie and networking.
A blog is very similar to a web site. Depending on the type of blog that you have or want, a blog site can look just like a web site and in many cases, blogs can actually be incorporated into a person’s website so that others don’t have to bother with clicking around to get where they need to go. Typically, blogs are there to provide information about a particular product or brand. Many professionals have their own cars that they keep in addition to whatever company website that they have. Blogs are more personal and help readers get to know the author on a more intimate level.
All I know is that I love the fact that it allows me to save my favorite websites for rainy days, thats about it. Of course don’t think that it’s all that high tech because it isn’t. You aren’t going to be able to view updated to the minute information on a website through Superbot.
Ask for other opinions. My mom is my biggest cheerleader and my biggest critic (besides myself, of course), but she’s the best resource I have for examining my work. She knows my real voice (what I sound like conversationally); she’s honest with me, telling me if a passage works or not; and she asks me questions to help me whittle away the fluff in my writing and get down to the point. Reach out to your family members and friends. Ask personal intrest for their advice. Does your writing sound like you? Get specifics. What words don’t work? What phrases sound wooden or trite?
Many people nowadays find blogging enjoyable as it makes them feel like Internet professionals. Admittedly, it is kind of neat to be the proud owner of a blog, and in a lot of cases, depending on how many devoted readers you have to your blog, you can actually stand to make quite a profit from blogging. For example, look at the popular conservative blogger, Michelle Malkin. Michelle has almost exclusively (if not so) made her living off of her blog, which is nationally known throughout the country. Of course, it also helps that she has stirred up quite a bit of controversy for her political views on certain red button issues.
Looking for a way to improve your home? Instead of hiring an interior designer to decorate your home for you, buy home decor magazines and books to use as inspiration. Give yourself some time to learn. Take some design elements from pictures you see, and use other people’s ideas to help spark your creativity. Spend the money you would on an interior designer on your furniture and accessories instead.
As mentioned in the previous post about the importance of having your purpose in life, a worthy purpose can help you through tough times when you meet up with challenges and obstacles along the way.
Finding your voice is a process and something I continue working on daily, but never fear, your unique voice that no one else can claim, is within you. You just need to chip away until you find it.
